Retinol is a versatile product ingredient and depending on your skin concern, there is actually a different answer for this one.

For acne, you can start using a low percentage retinol for early onset acne (comedonal acne) to address microcomedones – these are very early, small blackheads and that often occurs in a younger teenagers with oily skins.

For early signs of skin ageing and pigmentation, mid to late twenties or when first signs of ageing appear, is the best time to start using a retinol product, starting with a lower-percentage and increasing with your skin's tolerance.

Retinol is not suitable for everyone, especially people with very sensitive or rosacea-prone skin or women who are lactating or pregnant, so please consult us if you are unsure if retinol is suitable for you.
